Subj: bash fees
Hey all :)
1) If i have not e-mailed you a confirmations number for the hotel..you are
lumped into the "delphi group" ( they asked me not to make any more
reservations through the computer and do it all by fax)
2) I have 2 rooms left...put pressure on all your friends ;>
3) Bash Fees:
10.00/pp for beverages, snacks for weekend
5.00/pp for pizza on Saturday night (some folks have early flights
so i think maybe it would be easier to stay in on saturday...lol)
8.00/pp to cover the two rooms we are using as bash rooms
total $23.00 per person
4) Dining on Thursday and Friday will be as a group but with separate checks.
After talking it over with a few folks we decided against a banquet style
dinner.
5) Golf will be saturday morning for those that are interested and I will post
green fees and tee times.
6) I am getting the skinny on the cruise on lake tahoe on friday, I will
e-mail or post that then.
7) The Lake Tahoe shuttle is $13.00 each way from the reno airport. The
Casinos run free shuttles according to the information I was given. The
Casinos that run shuttles are: Harveys, Caesars Tahoe and Harrahs if you go
the Casino Shuttle route MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON A TAHOE SHUTTLE...while you
may have lots of fun in Reno...you won't find us there ;>
For those of you that are driving.... The Econo Lodge is on the California
side, and right on HWY 50 less than 1 mile from the casinos.
Tahoe has a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off at any time to any
of the casinos. (We prefer Harveys)
Please let me know what your beverage preferences are...I will try to
accomodate everyone since we will be a small (but great) size group
I will have coffee and donuts in the bash room on Saturday morning....please
let me know if you prefer decaf. I will also have some Orange Juice and milk.
If you have any questions that I haven't covered...please let me know.
If possible I would like to have bash fees by the first of August.
I have been told that the rooms have data ports...I am visiting them Friday so
I will make sure :) Otherwise I'm really good at Southern Igenuity ;)
We will bring one of our computers and any one that is driving is welcome to
bring theirs if they are so inclined.
Many of you are first time bashers...I am looking forward to seeing you all!
Undoubtedly we will have a great time!
Hugs to all!

Subj: Bash Golf, and other stuff!
Hi all!
I'm making arrangements for golf on Saturday, and wanted to find out how many
of you were interested...
The course is the Tahoe Paradise Golf Course, and it's an "executive" course,
rather than a "championship" course. That means that it's generally shorter in
distance than a regular course, and has no par 5 holes. It is, however, one of
the more scenic of the courses in the Lake Tahoe area, and, more importantly,
lol, reasonable in price!
Both the front and back 9's have six par 4's and three par 3's. The par 4's
range in length from 209 to 377 yards. For the ladies, the 9th and 18th holes
are par 5's. There's very little water on the course, with a lake that comes
into play on the 1st and 5th holes, and a creek that separates the 8th and 9th
fairways.
For 18 holes, the greens fee is $30.00, with a motorized cart costing $26.00.
The total cost per person is $43.00, which is pretty good, considering that the
other 18 hole courses along the South Shore of Lake Tahoe average between $70
and $175 per player!
I have four tee times reserved for Saturday, August 9, starting at 9:00 am.
That means that we can accommodate up to 16 golfers. If we have more than 16
who are interested, then I can get another tee time, provided I know far enough
in advance!
So, if you're interested in a fun morning of golf, shoot me back a message ASAP
so I can get you slotted in, and include your $43 in the fees that you'll be
sending to Liz! For seniors, the cost will be $38. If you don't want to schlep
your clubs, rental sets are available for $10.
By the way, Liz asks me to let you know that the cruise on the Lake will leave
shore at 3:20 pm on Friday, for a 2 1/4 "happy hour" cruise around the lake,
and the cost is $18! Seniors are $2 less, so Stew ought to be able to board
the boat for free, or he may even get a refund!
:)

Bash report Thurs :)
From: BILLP49 To: ALL
Sorry for the lack of reports from the Bash, we just established
connectivitiy this afternoon (and it is long distance), I guess it was
afternoon, for those of us from the East the three hour time difference has
been somewhat difficult to adjust to.
STEW91 and I arrived at Reno at 2:30PM(5:30PM EDT) Thursday afternoon, and
were met by Desi, who had just arrived and StarkMad and SparkyIA who had come
in some time before. Sparky had rented a car and we were off to Lake Tahoe.
A number of others had already arrived.
That evening we were off to Marie Callenders for dinner, those in
attendance were - Liz, Manny, Di, Bill, Stew, Paul, Stark, Arwen(&Peter), Desi,
Pat(&Claude), Closer, JC, Russ, and Sparky.
After we came back from dinner and were standing around the parking lot
kitbitzing we met Miniver who had been taking a nap and then Dave and Arlene
turned up.

Bash report Fri :)
From: BILLP49 To: ALL
I went to bed last night before Will, Karen, and Goog arrived but met them
when I became active this morning.
This morning (afternoon, whatever, that CDT/EDT dichotomy again) several
groups were off to breakfast and trips to the casinos, trip around the lake,
etc. At the moment we are awaiting to gather for our glass bottom boat ride
(hope no one drops anything heavy) on the lake, then later to dinner.

Bash report - Sat
From: BILLP49 To: ALL
Well after dinner and chatting and some played HQR's midnight game
(finishing up here are 10:30PM PDT), almost everone went off to the casinos.
Some did well at the tables, some didn't :(
Desi and Di came back at 1AM but most of the gamblers didn't arrive back
until 5:30AM. And a large contingent of those were off to the first Trivia
Club golf tournament at 8:30AM.
At the moment as we near noon, Stew, Arlene, Pat, Bill, Desi, Goog, Paul,
and Liz are sitting around in the conference room chatting. Pat & Bill were
off to breakfast early but the others have been getting up in a straggling
fashion. Some we haven't seen yet this morning.
Liz, Stark, Di, Arwen have just left to go horseback riding.

11-AUG 09:23
Bash report - Sunday
From: BILLP49 To: ALL
Well the horseback riders yesterday took the two hour ride instead of the one
hour ride and Di was noted for saying "It's nice to be able to put my legs back
together again".
Manny won the golf tournament with Dave being a close second.
Since a lot of people had early flights on Sunday we had pizza delivered in
instead of going out to dinner. After the pizza Sparky, Goog, Miniver, and
Stark played the obligatory bash hearts game. And even with the early flights
some did go off to the casinos.
Russ and Arlene missed the pizza, earlier in the day Arlene has scarfed up
some free tickets to Harrah's Rock and Roll (*adults only*) Review; so she and
Russ were off in his pornomobile to see that.
Several people are staying another day or longer in the area such as
Pat(&Claude), Sparky, Arlene and Paul who is off to L.A. for a week following
the Bash.
This morning Bill, Stew, JC, Will, and Karen were off to Reno to catch their
flights.
For some the flight home was not the best. Bill and Stew arrived in San
Francisco about the time that their flight to Philadelphia was leaving. After
some run around at the airport they were off to L.A. (btw Stark the temperature
there was 72), and a late night flight to Philadelphia arriving Monday morning
at 6AM.
It was a really fun bash and great to meet some of the Westcoasters who
hadn't bashed before.
Hats off to Liz for organizing such a great BASH.

From: DIANEN1 To: ALL
I would like to thank liz for organizing such a wonderful bash! There is such
a nice variety of things to do out there.
It appears that everyone had a super time and although I am totally exhausted,
I had the time of my life.
It was so nice to meet all those that I had not previously met - great crowd!
I vote next time we up the golf to 36 holes followed immediately by at least
four hours of riding wide horses .
Thank you again for such a super time Liz and Manly!

Opps, I knew I would forget something.
While Stew and I were waiting in the San Francisco airport we ran into
Tiger123. He had been visiting friends in SF and playing some poker, quite
successfully from what we saw.
He was waiting to catch a plane to Las Vegas which had been delayed already
three hours and at that moment he was worrying some about whether or not he
would be able to make his flight from Las Vegas to New York.

11-AUG 14:49 General Discussion
Post-BASH Report
From: SPARKYIA To: ALL
Here's the latest from Reno:
After dropping off some folks at the Reno Airport on Sunday, some of the rest
of us congregated at the Sands Regency Hotel/Casino in Reno.
Stark, Sparky, Paul, Desi, Arlene and Di had dinner at Tony Roma's just before
Di had to leave for the airport on Sunday night. After Di left, the rest of us
took up roost at a blackjack table and had quite a good time playing "give your
chips back to the house." The surprise of the night was that the last person
left at the table was none other than Desi in her maiden blackjack voyage.
Despite tutoring from Stark and Sparky, Desi managed to hold out longer than
all of the rest of us!
Stark went to the airport at 6:00am this morning and the rest of us had
breakfast together and said our goodbyes just a few minutes ago.

BASH
From: SPARKYIA To: ALL
Thanks to all who attended the BASH for a wonderful weekend. I had a great time
and from all indications, most everyone else did too.
To those of you that I have met before at previous BASHes, it was really great
to see you all again. I'm glad that I was able to make it to this one. People
that I know at home keep asking why I keep going to BASHes. It is because of
friends like you.
It was also great to meet those first-time BASHers in attendance: Desi, Pat,
Claude, Russ, Goog, Miniver, KIRNS, David and Peter. Thanks so much for
coming, and for giving me the opportunity to get to know you. I now have that
many more reasons to look forward to the next BASH.
Finally, thanks to Manny and Liz for all of their hard work in making
arrangements for this event. I'm sure that the whole thing would have never
gotten off of the ground without you.
To those of you who for one reason or anther couldn't come to this bash: Please
consider coming to the next BASH in Ocean City next spring. You'll have a
ball.

Bash report
From: RCWKID To: ALL
Hi gang !!
Here's my little ditty on the weekend...
After checking the previous write-ups of the latest bash, there isn't too much
that I can add. Except, that it was a wonderful, visually stunning 3 + days
with a group that has no equal. Liz and Manny deserve more than a hearty round
of applause for pulling this off. The desk was exceptionally accomodating, the
casinos were not, the horses mostly were, the golf course tried to be, and
location was top notch.
(BTW, I came out about $30 ahead at the BJ tables and quarter slots.)
A note of explanation on my "pornmobile"...
Nobody saw me there, you can't prove a thing. :) And Arlene is taking a vow of
silence, right???
On to other things;
Id took myself, Arwen, and Peter (Mr. Arwen) on a 3 hour drive around the lake
in a classy rental car. Did I mention that the view here is extraordinary?? The
altitude was up there (6000+ ft). The evening boat cruise on the paddlewheeler
Tahoe Queen was a fitting highlight to this vacation paradise. (Did I mention
the spectacular view?)
And I would like to say that finally meeting all of you will be the highlite of
my year. It is one thing to exchange a few laughs on the keyboard, quite
another to experience it in person. From Paul's gutbusters to Di's
ribsplitter's and Bill's genuine love of life'ers; there is nothing left to
compare. I had driven in 812 miles in 13.5 hours to check out first hand why I
enjoy being part of this club, and now I know. You guys are a real kick in the
butt for fun, play, and companionship. I was a little nervous about showing up,
but it only took a few minutes to become comfortable with all of you. And as
the days went by, it was almost a family re-union type atmosphere of good
friends and goodtimes.
I had to leave after lunch on Sunday, make a souvenir stop in Reno, and hit the
lonesome highway. I got in at the home-20 at 3:10am, wrote Desi a note, then
crashed for 9 hours. Ahhh, the feel of your own bed...:)
Many thanks again to Liz for making this weekend the best I've had in a long
time. BTW, it's been over 6 hours; do I owe you more $$ ?? :)
see y'all in the game rooms,
Russ

More bash crap ;D
From: CLOSR2FINE To: ALL
Well, if you count weddings, this was my tenth trivia bash! I love the OC
Bashes as much as the next gal, but I really have to say that these little ones
stay closer to my treasured memories. I had a really, really wonderful time.
And maybe, just maybe, I still am, and will for a while.
Two things. One: ti took me 20 hours to get home. I've bitched, I've moaned,
I'll stop, you don't want to know. Let's put it this way: I could have spent
seven hours in Columbus, and they were surprised when I turned it down.
Two:
No, wait.
One and a half: Amend One so it reads "It" not "ti". Thank you.
Two: I don't play trivia enough anymore. So I'm coming back. Whenever I meet
everyone and regardless of whether I've met them before, I inevitably miss out
on the more recent (like since '95) inside jokes and I'm sick of it.
So expect to see me around a lot more.
You guys are the best.
And of course thank you Liz, not least for good advice :P
{{{{{}}}}}
-elaine
P.S. For those of you who weren't there or were and didn't know, my parents
were in Lake Tahoe last week, and they dropped me off at the EconoLodge. I
would have really liked for them to have met you all, but unfortunately the
first one out to greet me was Stew.
My mom was running before she knew what hit her. ;)

Tahoe Bash Report from Id
From: AHUBERMAN To: ALL
Having just returned from my first bash (if you include weddings, too), there
is so much I want to say.
First and foremost, a hearty HAZZAH! to both Liz and Manny for putting on such
a wonderful bash in such a wonderful environment. As a co-worker of mine put
it, no one should die without having experienced the splendor of Lake Tahoe.
From my first sighting of the lake at sunset Thursday evening, to the 3 hour
drive around the lake in the purple pimp mobile (quit laughing, Paul) with
Russ, Arwen, and Peter, to the Sunday afternoon drive around the lake (again!)
in thick traffic, every sighting of the lakefront was breath-taking and left an
everlasting memory.
When I was checking in Thursday evening, while you all waited in the parking
lot to see who the freak was in the black suit, I remember telling Apu's wife
(yes, I know his name was Dave, but to me, he will always be Apu) how nervous I
was to walk across that parking lot and meet all of you. But she told me that
she thought you all were the nicest group she had ever had at the hotel.
Reflecting on that comment, it was a tremendously acute observation.
The four days I spent in Tahoe far surpassed any expectations I had. I made
friends with people I never thought I would have been friends with, and I saw
amazing sides of people I never could have begun to guess at.
For those who weren't there, here's what you missed:
You missed Desi's class
You missed Peter and Arwen's love (not to mention Peter's second shot on 18)
You missed Pat and Claude's quiet joy (and designer clothing)
You missed carrying an adorable Diane back into the bash room completely
against her will again and again and again.
You missed Will and Karen's luggage on your way through customs in Ontario
You missed Russ's Wide World of Sports and Diane's agony of de butt
You missed Bill's ever-watchful and ever-faithful love for us all.
You missed Stew, period.
You missed Grant's baiting and goading of complete strangers in the poker
rooms of Tahoe
You missed Brad eating a roll at dinner and getting up and leaving, in a scary
re-enactment of years of trivia game playing.
You missed Arlene's laugh.. well, then again, if you lived within 10 states or
so, maybe you didn't.
You missed Liz giving massages to complete strangers as they dared to spin the
Wheel of Fortune.
You missed Manny hit a 675 yard drive off the 9th tee which rolled over the
parking lot, got a beer at the gas station, and rolled itself all the way to
the Tahoe Queen for some early morning sight-seeing.
You missed Jean pretending to be a landscape architect in a golf cart.
You missed Paul, uh, okay, well, next..
You missed Stark perform the miracle of taking 132 pictures on a roll of 24
exposure.
You missed Elaine capturing an imprisoned body simply by failing to yield to a
little yellow thingie
I had a great time, and I look forward to the next bash, if for no other reason
than to prove that Miniver, Goog, Closr, and myself can successfully make it to a
Denny's before it closes, even in blackface.
Dave-id

12-AUG 03:02
Tahoe Bash
From: GOOG To: ALL
One more geek's take on the 1st annual Lake Tahoe Delphie (sic) Trivia Bash.
Some thoughts, organized alphabetically by height:
Most of us don't look anything like you'd expect we would. Except Stew, who
looks exactly like a cross between George Plimpton and Mr. Rogers, as I
expected. I had no idea until I met him, however, that SparkyIA could make a
good living as a voice and stunt double for Tim Conway. Dave-id, who I expected to
be a smallish, whiny, annoying gay man turned out to be a tall, strapping,
handsome, annoying hetero man. And I, it turns out, do NOT have a blonde afro
as Miniver led many of you to believe.
Arlene and Di have the two loudest and best laughs known to woman kind, and to
those of you who think BillP is too generous with his LOL's, I was watching him
on line -- and every single time he types it, he really is Laughing Out Loud!
Honest.
Keeping with his trivia game patterns, Miniver showed up briefly to the Friday
evening dinner, misled many triviots into ordering the wrong thing, and left
before the final bill came out. But don't mock him about it, he's really shy.
The greatest revelation of all, many would agree, was finally meeting Arwen's
boyfriend Peter in person, who gave us all hope that even a doughy balding guy
could someday end up with a statuesque Nordic blonde.
As for Desi, there is something much less obscene about hearing someone say
"fuck" in an English accent.
By the way -- am I the only one who didn't know that Karen and Will are an
item?
Scramble update: I personally inspected JCMGD's hands and they are quite
normal, aside from the fact that she has 12 fingers.
For my money, Angie Dickenson is still one hot broad. (Oops -- that was
supposed to go in the USA Today column I'm ghostwriting for Larry King)
I must congratulate the elegantly dressed PatCJackson and her equally classy
husband Claude who did an admirable job of not looking horrified at our
behavior the entire weekend. Towards the end I began to believe they really
weren't.
Starkmad appeared throughout most of the bash under his alternate screen-name,
Stonedrunk.
Manny was much quieter than I expected and seemed like his primary function was
to hold up bash-planner supreme, Liz, who - when faced with the spector of too
much beer and too little soda- tried to single-handedly even the score.
Sportsfan's tip: Russ has a t-shirt that was autographed by, I believe, the
last 12 Bassmasters grand champions. I never got close enough to be sure.
Paul Rogoff couldn't decide whether Karen pinched his ass during the team photo
or if it was Manny, and in an unusual fit of honesty and confusion, admitted he
wasn't sure who he would rather it be.
And finally, what can I say about Closr2Fine that Manny and Stark and Mini and
Will and Sparky haven't already IM'd you about during the games this week?
All seriousness aside, if you haven't been to one of these bash things, I gotta
recommend it. I'm almost certain I made more friends just this weekend than
I've alienated during this entire post.

Post Bash Tahoe/Reno
From: BRITTE To: ALL
Liz and Manny - Thank you for giving me such a wonderful time in Tahoe. To say
that I really enjoyed myself is an understatement - you guys put it all
together for us and I don't know when I've had more fun with such a great
bunch of people.
Bill, Stew, Stark and Sparky - I was never more glad to find you guys than
when I actually did. I deplaned in Reno with an.... ahem *female* and had just
put my verbal foot in my mouth by asking if she came here often. Who knows how
much trouble I might've gotten myself into =:o
Pat and Claude - Have to hand it to you two, you took it all in your stride :)
Think you might have a hard time keeping Claude away from the next Bash ;)
Grant and Brad - Funnee as hell - we talked about baseball, cable and avocado
trees and got me thinking about where I had heard this all before ;) :::
writing note to self::: there is *somebody* out there who needs the leftovers
more than our dogs do :D
My friend Di {} Your wonderful laugh kept me in stitches tho' I have to
confess that half the time I had no idea what the joke was. Hmmmm, wasn't
purple the color of the pimpmobile also? ::: ducking :::
Arlene - Thanks for the running commentary on our midnight walk thru downtown
Reno ..... thot those things only happened on _Cops_ ;)
Paul Rogoff - a sweet and funny guy .... I think Arlene, Di and I will pass on
any offer to "drive out to the desert" especially if you have a shovel in the
trunk ;)
Dave-Id, Elaine, Arwen, Peter, Russ, Jean, Karen, Will, it was great to have
the pleasure of your company :D
Again, Liz {{{}}} thank you so much for making it possible.

the weekend
From: PATCJACKSON To: ALL
There it is--Page 116, Websters New World Dictionary:
BASH...A gala event or party...
and that it was!
We left home at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, and arrived back at 6:00 p.m.
Monday evening (all times PDT :)); and in between-- oh yes!! there was an in
between! We laughed, we talked, we played, we ate, we drank, and we came
together with 20 wonderful people who made every step along the way more
pleasurable. Throughout the week end I was asked "Are we/they like you
expected?" "Who were the surprises?"
Tougher question than it seems. These were the same 20 people I have played
with for 3 years, and they are the same...but now they have faces, and voices,
and a little more depth. Arlene a little more bubbly than I had pictured, and
I love her enthusiasm. Will a little quieter, and Karen warm and friendly.
The bachelor squad--big handsome David, fun-loving Goog (who will always be
Goog to me even though some came to call him Grant), and quiet Miniver (who
easily became Brad), I had expected him to be older. Bill (my mentor) and Stew
who have been here since day one became real flesh and blood people. Sparky (I
had expected him to be a young kid), Russ, Stark (didn't know he was so big),
Jean, Arwen(with her friend Peter), and Elaine -- some looking maybe a little
different than I had pictured in my mind, some very close to expectations, but
that is only cosmetic, they were the people who I have met and played with and
they are the same people in the flesh. Finally there was Paul, Desi and Di.
Paul looked so much like Paul was "supposed" to look, that it was as if I had
met him before. Desi's warmth and graciousness charmed us all. Di was Di...
just as you see her here. Whatever she is doing, she throws her whole self
into it and enjoys!
I have saved for last Manny and Liz who put it all together.
Thanks to both of you. It was a wonderful weekend and I look forward to
another. ALOHA! ENJOY!
Finally, my personal thanks to all of you for your warm friendliness. Claude
is usually a quiet man who does not open up to strangers, but this week end he
was completely relaxed and visited and enjoyed all of you. 'Twas truly a gala
event.
Oh, by the way, I read a few of the other posts--embarrassed. I really didn't
give a full weekend fashion show, I was in shorts and tops like everyone else
--'cept for Sunday morning. :)

Bash thanks :) and my report home!!
From: ARLENEJ To: 688_CLASS (NR)
Hi all :) and especially Liz and Manny,
I had a wonderful time at the BASH. It was great to see old friends (in
person) and put faces and spirit to old acquaintainces who are now officially
BASHees (btw, weddings count as BASHes, just ask Liz and Manny what lasting
impression we left in Illinois!) and part of the on-going family reunion (which is
what a BASH feels like to me).
Liz (and Manny) did a terrific job to make us all feel we where on a
vacation. Sooo, what memories live on in my grey cells, you might ask?!?
Wellll, (with absolutely no claims for accuracy, or even truthfulness!),
Seeing this tall, handsome man (that would be Id) dressed in a SUIT, with golf
bag in one hand and suitcase in the other, arrive in the dusk of night, asking
"Is this the way to the Marlton Meet?" Id was the youngest BASHee but he
managed to hold his own. :) BTW Id, I still say that the color of the
pimpmobile was eggplant and not that oh so common (to pimps anyway) purple.
I did enjoy the merlot. :)
As to the pornomobile, I was very impressed with Russ's knowledge. 'Nuff said.
Now, Paul, yes you *did* really say "F*** y**, get out of my car" though Desi,
Di and I were laughing too hard to pay you any mind (however, I am under the
impression that the comment was directed at me!). :) I did really hear you
say that we were talking like you weren't in the car. For what it's worth, I
*now* do have a fatal allergy to deserts. :::Note to Future BASHees: Always
give a friend the name and license # of the person you bum a ride from.:::
(I wish I could keep up the theme of cars for the rest of this post but I know
I can't.)
Best line of the BASH (by my vote): "I hope nobody wants to get back there
anytime soon." Said by Di (experiencing the aftereffects of horseback
riding). Though, I can't say I have ever seen that expression on Paul's face
before.
Ms. Manny's explanation of the proper fanny-patting technique.
Desi, it was wonderful to spend some time with you and get to know you. {{}}
Life is different after attending a Bash.
Pat and Claude, you are the perfect couple. It was truly a pleasure to meet
you. Claude is too modest to tell you all that he came in third in the 1st
annual Trivia Club Golf Invitational. WTG!!
Goog/Grant and Miniver/Brad, I liked getting to know you. Grant, you really
are funny. Brad, you really are shy. Okay, so I am the last person on the
planet to know you work for a porn company. Now, which one of you was it, that
did that??!!!
Stark, thanks ever so much for your Helpful Hints on Blackjack (with assists
from Manny, Stew and Sparky). I lost money in Reno. But I am sure I will do
better next time.
Karen, it was very nice to meet you. You get the prize for willingness to
drive long distances. (Karen and Will took a side trip to SF and back -
3 hours each way - in one day! or anyway, that is what they said they
did!) ==:o
Di, you are a fun person to be around. {{}} Though being murdered and left in
the desert would have put a damper on the weekend.
It seems there was a lot of "kiveing" going on ....to know what that means you
would have had to be in Rich's game on Friday (?) night. But what would you
expect, it was a BASh! (And yes, Rich, it is worth it.)
It was Great to see everyone again .....Arwen, Elaine (do I still have to
present my 'I will not eat veal' membership card at future Bashes?), Jean,
Bill {{}} and to finally meet Mr. Arwen (aka Peter).
Thanks to Liz, I saw Heavenly and experienced a new beautiful part of the
world. And yes, Liz and Manny, there needs to be another West Coast Bash. You
did a terrific job. I know I had a good time.
On my sidetrip to Reno, where i stayed til Wednesday morning, I did something I
have always wanted to do........I went white water rafting on the American
River in California in a day long excursion. I was in a raft with a male guide
and 5 (yes, Bill, FIVE) twenty-something testosterone-filled guys for 11 miles
of river. I had a blast there too.
Arlene :)
