6 Aug 1850; died 20 May 1920; immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1869; married at 
Davenport(Scott)IA, 21 Feb 1873 Dorothea Schroeder, b. near Giekau 29 Jun 1849, 
immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1872, d. 4 Mar 1934.  Henry and Dorothea farmed near 
Mt. Joy(Scott)IA and in 1884 moved to Carroll Co. IA and bought a 160 acre 
farm near Manning(Carroll)IA where they were living in 1900. In 1930 she was 
living in Manning(Carroll)IA next to her son Rudolph and with her grand
daughter Dorothea C. b. IA c1904 a telephone operator.
Children(all born in Scott Co. IA):

     ii. Gustav, b. May 1876; d. 1908.
54   iii. Rudolph, b. 25 Apr 1879.
     iv. Charles Herman, b. 3 Nov 1880; in 1920 he was a farm laborer living 
          with his sister Anna(Kuhl)Jensen, in 1930 he was a farmer in Iowa twp
          (Crawford)IA, resided Manning in 1934.
     v. Anna, b. May 1884; m. 1906/7 Henry Jensen b. IA 1882/3; in 1910 and 1920 
         they were famring in Iowa twp(Crawford)IA; resided in Manning in 1934.

eau)ND; resided Mohall(Renville)ND in 1934.
