back

I indexed the marriage and baptism records in a spreadsheet(938 lines),
record by record; noting the following:

	year
	type of record b(birth=taufbuch), m(marriage=traubuch)
	surname of witness or godparent
given name (with village of residence if shown)
surname of child or groom/bride (parents surnames if given)
	forename
	location
	record sheet number

Invariably I made typos in the spreadsheet entries; I have attempted to
correct all of them but some may remain.

I then saved the spreadsheets in a text file; then had to remove all the
tabs that were in the text files. The last operation was to add html tags to the
text files to bring upthe appropriate record page image. I have alternated those
tags: year, name, year, name etc. to lessen the chance of hitting the wrong tag.

Names are given as they appear in the records; thus we have Cay-Kai-Kay-Kei
as a surname. Forenames have the same problem: Clags-Clas-Claus, Trien-Trin-
Trinke.

I have not used umlauts in names, using instead ae oe ue (this is not
true for Kuhl).
